Jazz at the Marsh
March 29 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Just about 100 years ago, on March 17, 1919, Nathaniel Adams Coles was born to become one of the most revered and successful jazz pianists and vocalists ever.
Nat King Cole, as we know him, combined his soft and dreamy voice with his pleasant personality and a remarkable piano playing style to remain on top of the jazz and popular music world for decades.
Dean Hollin considers Cole as his all-time favourite male vocalist and will present the show he created to celebrate Nat King Cole’s 100th birthday on Friday March 29th 2019 7:30 pm at the Marsh Street Centre. The two hour show will be filled with signature tunes such as Straighten Up and Fly Right, Mona Lisa, Stardust, Route 66, Nature Boy and When I Fall In Love.
Concert pianist Jacqueline Sadler will accompany Dean on the Steinway upright-grand piano which we are lucky to have available at the Marsh.
Tickets are $25, for students $5 at the door, at Pharmasave in Thornbury, Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg and Gabriele Photography in Collingwood.
This special show appears to draw increased interest already, so please obtain your tickets early.
